CVRM’s 2nd Annual Kokua Classic Golf Tournament
This “golf experience” is appropriately named Kokua because in Hawaiian, Kokua means love, aid, warmth, support and rescue which is what Coachella Valley Rescue Mission provides daily.
This high end golf tournament was established in 2011. The second annual tournament will be May 7, 2012 at the prestige’s Toscana Country Club, in Indian Wells, CA. The Jack Nicklaus’ signature course is designed to challenge the intellect as well as strength. The tournament can host 82 players. Entry fee is $700.00 per player and proceeds go toward the capital campaign and “Building New Beginnings.”

CVRM’s Backpack Bonanza
CVRM distributes new backpacks filled with school supplies to hundreds of underprivileged children in our community. In addition, KDI Kares “Shoebox Heroes” and the National Charity League collects new shoes, and volunteer haircutters provide haircuts for as many as possible. Through the wonderful support of our community members, CVRM has been able to add a little joy to the children returning to school.

CVRM’s Operation Toy Drive
Coachella Valley Rescue Mission hosts the annual toy give away for hundreds of underprivileged children on December 17, at 8 am. This is one of our favorite events. We are able to delight the precious little ones who come by to meet Santa and are allowed to choose a couple of toys each.

10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament
Coachella Valley Rescue Mission is hosting the annual golf tournament at the Classic Club Championship Course, Palm Desert, CA former home to the Bob Hope Classic. Golfers enjoy the beautiful vistas, several water features, and 18 holes of challenging golf followed by lunch, auction/raffle, and awards.
Proceeds go toward operation costs for the men, women, and children who call the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission home. In addition, to housing/feeding the clients, programs provide education, life skills, mental health assessment, health care assessment, and assistance to become self sufficient.
The tournament will be held January 21st, 2013. The entry fee is $150.00 per player.
