We are amazed at the feedback we are receiving from the "I'm a Friend" pins. Our donors have been very receptive to our small gesture of appreciation for their support of the Building New Beginnings Capital Campaign. It has been thrilling to go into a bank or a grocery store and see someone wearing our pin. Immediately it opens the door for conversation about the Mission.

We have $3.6+ million in gifts and pledges of the $12 million needed for the new project. We have diligently been working to secure another $2 million and we are very close to being able to add it to our total.

We are planning a couple of unique fund raising events for the fall. Dancing With our Stars, scheduled for November 8, where you will be able to vote for our dancers and a Merchant Program where customers will have a chance to donate at the checkout stand to our Building New Beginnings Capital Campaign.

We have scheduled our New Friends Luncheon to be held at Renaissance Esmeralda in Indian Wells on February 24, 2010. This is an opportunity to increase awareness of "Building New Beginnings", solicit new friends, and raise much needed capital.
