The Mission feeds 200 – 300 meals per day most of the year and over 1000 people over the two day Thanksgiving period. This could not happen without generous support and donations from the churches, businesses and individuals of the community.

The countdown has begun. During Thanksgiving season CV Rescue Mission is introducing OPERATION DRUMSTICK with an exciting kick off on Saturday, November 4th with an Open House and Food Drive. Everyone is invited to tour the Mission, speak with staff, Board members, and clients during the Open House from 11 am to 4 pm. Popular radio host, TLC from country radio station KPLM, the Big 106 will be broadcasting live adding to the excitement. The food drive is for the entire month of November and an ongoing need throughout the year.

Without food, there is nothing to offer the homeless, poor individuals and families who will be facing hunger during this season, but once a hungry person is fed and the pain of starvation subsides, they can face, with clarity, the circumstance that brought them to the point of need. This is where CV Rescue Mission takes it a step further. Not only will we be offering food for the body, but through one of the many programs we offer to help the poorest in our community, we will be providing food for the soul and spirit. Christian-based recovery from the despair life can bring is the foundation on which the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission operates. A hand up and not just a hand out will be offered to all we feed this Thanksgiving Season. We can with your help, end homelessness, one life at a time.

Become a part of OPERATION DRUMSTICK by bringing food or grocery gift card donations to the Mission on November 4th or drop it by anytime that is convenient for you and help prepare the way for life changing events.
