† Free haircuts available at backpack giveaway this weekend

Free haircuts and school supplies will be at the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission this Saturday.
The CVRM Backpack giveaway will be from 8 a.m. to noon at Martin Van Buren Elementary School, 47-733 Van Buren St.
Twenty hairstylists have also donated their time to do free haircuts inside the chapel of the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission, 47-518 Van Buren St., event organizer Kitty Killian said today.
The rescue mission is still 800 backpacks short, Killian said. The Rescue Mission will be accepting backpacks up to the day.
