† Shelter

The Mission currently has facilities to house 80 men, women and children. The Coachella Valley Rescue Mission currently offers an Emergency Overflow Shelter that houses an additional 25 – 35 men, women and children each night on our chapel floor. All people in this program are served breakfast and dinner along with the options of showers, hygiene and case management services.

Meeting physical needs
So that they may regain self-sufficiency, the Mission offers or directs individuals to an array of local programs including job training and counseling services. Various classes are available, such as English, Math and computer skills, as well as assistance to those in need of obtaining a GED. Classes required by agencies such as anger management are also offered. Transportation is available to schools, jobs or medical facilities.

Ministering to spiritual needs
As important as physical needs may be, we believe that meeting the spiritual needs are even more important. Since our facility centers on faith, daily devotions, Bible studies and a faith-based 12-Step Recovery Program are in place. We also offer evening chapel services, presented by many area churches, groups and individuals from across the valley. The church community's participation is very important to the Mission as we minister to the spiritual needs of those coming to us for help.
