† Meet the folks that run CVRM

Darla has been with CVRM since December 2004 and came with extensive experience in human resource and non-profit business administration.

Darla states: “The best part of being employed with the Mission is combining my business knowledge with the ministry of the Mission, and witnessing positive change in so many people.”

Sue joined the CVRM office staff in November 2005. She has come from a recent position of church secretary and has additional past experience in personnel, operations management, and bookkeeping. Sue loves the opportunity to support the ministry of reaching out to people in need.

Angie has been working in the mission office since July of 2001. She is a strong help in the administrative office and keeps the donor input and responses accurate and timely. She states, “If it wasn't for the Mission giving me a chance, I wouldn't be where I am today. Thank God for the Mission and the great job that it’s doing to help change people’s lives – especially mine.”

Kitty joined the CVRM staff in August 2006. She facilitates the Women
and Family Services and Programs. Her experience includes working as a counselor at various programs before coming here.

" I truly feel this position is what God has been preparing me for my
entire life . . . I feel blessed to be able to share my experience, strength and hope with these women, and to work with such wonderful, caring Christian co-workers."

Matthew Gawn joined the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission staff March 2006. He is the Men’s Program Manager. He is a versatile, results-oriented manager with significant, progressive and multi-facet experience in public relations, coordinated and assisted in facilitating program participants transition from a highly structured bible based twelve step program to a successful interaction into a sober, God-centered, self-sufficient and productive Lifestyle.

God has given me a golden opportunity to serve Him, and share the gifts He has given me with others.

Sandy joined the team at CVRM in August 2008. She has spent most of her adult life working in a variety of Christian organizations from secretarial, to counseling, to congregational care. She sees the Mission as an extension of her life long purpose. "I feel it is an absolute privilege to be a part of the awesome work here."
