The Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians is a federally recognized Native American tribe located in Southern California. They are descendants of the Chemehuevi people, a peaceful and nomadic Tribe whose territory once covered parts of California, Utah, Arizona, and Southern Nevada.
